WOW...

I'm god awful at picking NFL games. I finally deposited some money into an online gambling account again so I'm going to try to post an update on what games I'm actually betting on. For some reason I was really feeling Notre Dame on Saturday night, maybe because I was a little buzzed, but anyways I won that bet so maybe I need to drink and then make my picks. I guarantee a winning week for my NFL picks next week.

Brutal

3-10 for my NFL picks plus whatever the Monday night game does. That is absolutely horrendous. On the plus side, I managed to stay above .500 in the college games on Saturday going 7-6.

Lock of the Weeks: 2-0 (So at least I'm doing good on the picks I'm most confident in) and the Hawkeyes and Bears both covered the spread as I predicted so its not all bad. Hopefully next week will be better. I may have to get into some of the World Series games beginning Wednesday.

NFL WEEK 7

Wow, I can't believe there are two divisons in the NFC with all 8 teams at .500 or better. It looks like 4 teams will be coming from those divisions along with the Arizona and someone from the NFC North (It better be the Bears!)

LOCK OF THE WEEK: Bear (-3) I'm a homer here, but I see the Bears winning 21-10. Book it.

Potential 3 team teaser: Tenn, Houston, Washington

Potential 3 team parlay: Indy, San Diego, Jets

<<<<<>>>>>>

49ers @ GIANTS (-10.5)

Hate the Giants, still don't know how they won the Super Bowl and how they beat the Bears last year...very salty about this team

Steelers (-9.5) @ BENGALS
One of the most overrated teams in the NFL in my opinion, but the Bengals are God awful. I heard season ticket holders are selling their tickets online something like 3x's below face value. Also with no Carson Palmer and Cedric Benson carrying the load against a PITT D, I gotta take the Steelers.

Titans (-8) @ CHIEFS
Both teams coming back from a bye. Chiefs couldn't trade Gonzalez @ the deadline. I'm not sure how good the Titans are since I havn't seen them play. I really looking forward to going to the game the Bears play against them in early Nov. Go with TENN

Vikings @ BEARS (-3)
DA BEARS...DA BEARS...DA BEARS!!!! Hopefully we hold down A.P.

Chargers @ BILLS (-1)
This line has been moving a lot so who knows where it will settle. This line is from betus.com b/c no other site has odds on this game. Either way, L.T. better show up this game

Saints @ PANTHERS (-3)
Gimme the Saints on the road

Cowboys (-7) @ RAMS
I don't care who is at qb. Marion Barber is a man among boys! Line could change to something like 10.5 if Romo plays. I'll stick with the cowboys either way.

Ravens @ DOLPHINS (-3)
Ravens got lucky winning a few early games and Miami seems to be somewhat legit. They'll win by at least a FG

Lions @ TEXANS (-9)
Thank God I have Matt Schaub as a backup in my one fantasy league where Romo is my backup. I'm guessing 314 yards passing and 3 TD's ....and a texans raping!
(I did consider that detroit may have a minor self-esteem improvement by trading away Roy Willaims...but nah it didn't work when Millen got fired and they played a close game against the Vikes last week so they're ready to get blown out)

Jets (-3) @ RAIDERS
Easy win for the Jets...

Colts (-2) @ PACKERS

Interesting game, packs D has been sub-par and Colts seemed to have found their offense

Browns @ REDSKINS (-7)

I hate you Derek Anderson for drafting you in the 5th round...Please prove to me your one good game was a fluke. Bring on the Portis/Alexander combo!

Seahawks @
BUCS (-10.5)

Tampa may win this game by 3 td's. Jeff Garcia time!

Broncos @ PATRIOTS (-3)

Hate the Patriots, but also think the Broncos are overrated....here's a toss-up. I'll go with the Broncos

College Football Picks for Saturday 10/18

I definitely don't think I'll be as successful picking college games versus the pros. I basically picked games where I've at least seen the teams play for at least a small portion this year. Anyways, my picks are in yellow...here they are:

LOCK OF THE WEEK - LSU (-3) @ South Carolina

BIG TEN

Purdue @ NORTHWESTERN (-4)

Wisconsin @ IOWA (-3.5)
I was surprised as hell that Iowa is favored here. I still think we're a decent team. Our 3 losses are by a total of 9 points. I see a 24 - 17 final here.

Ohio State (-3.5) @ MICHIGAN ST

Michigan @ PENN ST (-23)

Indiana @ ILLINOIS (-15)

BIG 12

Texas Tech (-21) @ TEXAS A&M

Missouri @ TEXAS (-5.5)

Baylor @ OKLAHOMA ST (-17)

Kansas @ OKLAHOMA (-20)

SEC

Vanderbilt @ GEORGIA (-14.5)

Ole Miss @ ALABAMA (-13)

Lsu (-3) @ SOUTH CAROLINA

PAC 10

Usc (-42.5) @ WASHINGTON ST

ACC

North Carolina (-4.5) @ VIRGINIA

BIG EAST

Virgina Tech @ BOSTON COLLEGE (-3)

Home Team Advantage?

I've always maintained that I know the team I'm rooting for 10x's more than the goof in Vegas setting the spread. With the amount of media I hear and daily reports, articles, sports talk etc. I think I have a pretty big advantage over Vegas.

With that being said I'm looking forward to how well I do when guessing the Bears and to a lessor extent the Hawkeyes (I say this b/c I'm not in Iowa anymore and can't follow them as much as I want). I know that I can be known as a homer, so I will make sure to be as objective as possible in picking the spreads on these games and hopefully the results will show.

PICKS COMING SOON........

So Here's the Story

I've always considered myself a pretty knowledgeable sports fan and thought if I really wanted to I could be a pretty decent gambler over a period of time, but never found out because you'd have to keep a tally to establish a trackrecord and all that shit. Therefore I've decided to start my own blog with my own picks betting on all different sporting events.

I will pick every NFL game each week based on the given spread. I'll try to highlight a few games each week that I deem locks or games you may want to tease, parlay or stay away from altogether. I'll also throw in some college football games here and there of my choosing and may get into some NBA and college bball when that comes around.

My goal is for this to be your go to source for when you want to bet on a game and hopefully win you some money.

While fantasy football season is still in effect, I may do a small section each week with guys that I think are due for a big game and other guys that I'd stay away from.
